Breckenridge is located in Summit County, Colorado. The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 is a mere 80 miles from downtown Denver, yet it can feel like you are a world away. Transported to a snowglobe in the winter, guests step out the door to the ski lifts of Breckenridge Ski Resort. In the summer, enjoy an afternoon hike, take the Gondola or ride the free bus to downtown Breckenridge.
There are two airports available for access to Breckenridge. Denver International Airport (DIA) is located 95 miles from Breckenridge, and Eagle/Vail Regional Airport is located in Gypsum, about 60 miles west of I-70.
Transportation from the airport to Breckenridge is fast and easy! Shuttles will take you directly from the airport to the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 and all of the national car rental agencies have offices at the DIA and Eagle/Vail airports.
Once you are here, getting around is easy whether you have your own transportation or not. Breckenridge and Summit County have an easy, modern road system that is constantly being maintained and improved by state and municipal transportation agencies with world-class snow-removal systems in place. If you don’t have your own transportation, don’t worry! Breckenridge and Summit County offer convenient and free public transportation services through Breck Free Ride and the Summit Stage that can take you to any corner of Breckenridge and Summit County.
